This policy explains how Cut Above Media ("Cut Above", "I", "we") collects, uses and protects personal information when you visit cutabove.io, send an enquiry, or work with us. Cut Above is run by Richard Ross from Taguig City, Philippines, and works mainly with businesses in Australia.

The short version: we only collect what we need to reply to you and deliver your videos. We don't sell your information, and we never use your footage publicly without your permission.

1. What we collect

Enquiry details you send through the form, email or WhatsApp: your name, email address, business or website, what you need, links to footage or briefs, and your message.
Project files you share with us, such as raw footage, scripts, logos and brand material.
Payment and invoicing details needed to bill you, if you become a client.
Basic technical information when you visit the website, such as your browser, device, approximate location and the pages you view. This is collected by our hosting provider and, where used, by analytics and advertising tools (see section 4).

2. How we use it

To reply to your enquiry and send you a quote.
To edit and deliver your videos, including free sample edits.
To send invoices and keep business records.
To understand how the website is used and to improve it and our advertising.
To follow up about your enquiry or project. You can ask us to stop at any time.

3. Your footage and projects

Footage and files you send are used only to make your videos. We do not share them, and we do not show your videos in our portfolio, website or ads unless you give us permission. You can ask us to delete your files once your project is finished.

4. Services we use

We use trusted third-party services to run the website and the business. They handle your information on our behalf, under their own privacy policies:

Cloudflare – website hosting, security and email forwarding.
Web3Forms – delivers enquiry form messages to our inbox.
Google (Gmail, Google Drive) – email and file sharing.
Wise – receiving payments by bank transfer.
Meta (Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp) – messaging and, where used, advertising tools such as the Meta Pixel. These may use cookies to measure ad results and show our ads to people who visited the website.

Some of these services store information outside the Philippines and Australia, for example in the United States. By sending us your information you understand it may be processed in those countries.

5. Cookies

The website itself doesn't need cookies to work. Advertising and analytics tools we use may set cookies or similar technology to measure visits and ad performance. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and you can manage ad preferences in your Facebook and Instagram settings.

6. Sharing

We don't sell or rent your personal information. We only share it with the services listed above, when the law requires it, or when you ask us to (for example, sending files to your team or agency).

7. How long we keep it

We keep enquiry emails and project records for as long as needed to work with you and meet tax and legal obligations. Raw footage is usually deleted within 90 days of a project ending, unless you ask us to keep it longer.

8. Keeping it safe

We use reputable, secured services, keep access to your files limited to the person editing your project, and take reasonable steps to protect your information from loss or misuse. No method of sending or storing information online is completely secure, but we work to protect it.

9. Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to stop contacting you. Email us and we'll reply within 30 days. If you're not happy with how we handled your information, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au) or the Philippine National Privacy Commission (privacy.gov.ph).

10. Children

Our services are for businesses. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
